Your life is complicated enough without having to worry about packing and unpacking your gym bag every day. Here are 10 things to keep in your gym bag 24/7 for a successful workout!

1) Bluetooth Headphones

Ever been at the gym, headphones in, jamming to some oldies but goodies, when all of a sudden the squat rack rips your headphone cord away from you? Ears ringing, your phone probably flying across the gym… yeah, not a good look. Or feel.

Having the right pair of Bluetooth headphones can give you more versatility throughout your workout and keep you properly motivated to get through that last rep.

2) A Big A** Water Bottle

Sure, “cooler talk” can be fun… but having to go back to the water fountain 100,000 times during your workout can really hinder your productivity.

The best way to combat this? A big. A**. Water bottle. Fill it up with ice before you leave home, then fill it with water as soon as you get to the gym. That’ll ensure that your gym water is ice cold, and will definitely cut back on the time you spend wandering towards to fountain of unproductiveness.

3) Deodorant (NOT Antiperspirant)

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Do not, I repeat, do NOT put on antiperspirant before you hit the gym. Preventing yourself from sweating is NOT good for you. But what else is not good for you is smelling like a 13-year-old boy whose mother has been on a business trip for 3 days, leading him to forgotten basic hygiene. Na-st-ay.

Deodorant is a great gym bag staple for after the gym, as long as it’s not clogging up your pores. A simple spray deodorant is fast and easy to apply and can help mask your “stank” in time for you to get home and shower.

4) Face Wipes

If you’re spending the time and energy to go to the gym, chances are you care about your health and wellness, and skincare is super important for an overall healthy, happy, lifestyle.

Sweating at the gym can create all sorts of disasters for your pores. The longer that seat, dirt, and bacteria stay on your face, the more likely it is to cause acne and other skin issues.

Keeping a resealable bag of face wipes in your gym bag for a quick clean after your workout will help keep your skin healthy and glowing!

5) Spare Clothes

Sh*t happens, and when/if it does, you need to be prepared. Having a spare gym shirt, along with socks, shorts, and undergarments, is a precautionary measure that most of us can totally afford prednisone to take.
